Hotel Birillo - La Spezia

Very nicely situated not far away from the train station, with close access to many restaurants and bus stops. The staff were very helpful and lovely, always accommodating and answering my requests. I would stay here again the next time I come to Italy 😊

Overall it was a nice size and well-equipped, with a functional bathroom...

the location was marvellous and unbeatable and the room was fairly clean. this hotel was in a fairly nice area very close to the train station and the harbor, and a main rail line all the way north and south.

The breakfast standouts included delicious homemade pastries and expertly prepared cafe lattes. We appreciated the comfortable bed in our triple room which was perfect for our family. The staff were attentive and friendly, always willing to assist us with any needs. The location was ideal for easy exploration, great to stroll through local attractions effortlessly.

The bathroom space was quite limited for our family's needs, which hindered comfort.

The extremely handy location and the value for money. The breakfast in particular is abundant to the point of excess! Free Internet access, which is important for my work.

There is quite a lot of traffic noise due to the nearby main road. Not for light sleepers.

The room is good-sized and well-appointed and essentials you need, including central heating, multi-channel television and a writing table, is right there. Functional bathroom is good-sized;))

location short walk to the historical center, boat, train, hikes, and central pedestrian precinct. welcoming, pleasant staff towards all guests. delicious and superb breakfast with fresh homemade cakes for all tastes.

The air conditioning struggled on humid nights, so consider bringing a portable fan for added comfort while sleeping.

Within walking distance of port for ferry and train station.

Too expensive for room, crowded with three beds. No elevator, had to take bags up ourselves, staff didn't speak english. Bathroom facilities very poor.

Our stay was enhanced by Sarah's impressive hospitality and the good array of homemade pastries at breakfast, setting a wonderfully welcoming tone each morning.

Booked for 2 nights and stayed 5...upgraded from the single room i booked to a double at 42 euro a night..didn't take breakfast as an option but a great little cafe 2 mins away with cafe lattes for 1.50...this place exceeded expectations and a great base to visit Cinque Terre...plenty of restaurants close to hotel and train station less than about a 5 minute stroll..free internet station in lobby and wifi access can also be arranged free of charge..room was spacious with big windows that opened up (some rooms have balconies) and very clean and comfortable...hotel reasonably modern...bathroom a little tiny but manageable..staff very helpful and accommodating (notwithstanding the language barrier). good value for money
